OZ Comp Build Reports?

Anybody build the OZ Comp yet??

Search for it...theres a thread with a bunch of mods and stuff too for it.

Search isn't working....
I read some of the threads about the design but, was interested in how it may sound.
Opinions??

I built it a week or so ago and wasn't much impressed. It easily distorted, when it did compress it sounded more like an effect than smooth compression (compressed the attack down to almost silence then slowly brought the volume up). After a while it stopped doing even that and acted pretty much like a dirty booster. Compression and Release pots had no effect.

I set it aside to fiddle with later.

That's how my DOD 280 clone performs.
Very clean but, the compression gets ridiculous after about 1/2 way on the comp control.
used a VTL5C2 in it too but, seems to really Over-Squeeze to beat all get out!
