Hey Guys,

I have designed a fuzz distortion.  I was wondering if you guys could give me some feedback on it and hopefully fix some slight problems with it.

Alittle about the circuit.  The circuit currently doesn't have a bypass yet but thats gonna be implemented.  It has a preamp in it and the then distortion circuitry.

Current Problems:
Isn't to fuzzy on the low E and B strings of my bass.  (How to make it more fuzz on the low strings??)
Annoying Humm when the output is turned up.
The humm comes from the guitar as there is no humm when the guitar is unpluged.

Thanks

It looks like C4 is too small. Either make R2 100 ohms and the 10K pot 100K, and/or C4 22uf.  Too much of the bass is rolled off as is.  Also try a 22uf before R4, your output pot, that may help the humming.  Many designs have a 1K resistor between the clipping diodes and the op amp which with the 22uf cap set the low frequency roll off point.   :icon_cool:
