Sometime years ago (late '70s?), I tried and failed to turn my CryBaby into a volume control.  And the electronics have been missing for a long time.  So over the weekend, I was puppysitting for my neighbor's new puppy:

So here's some pictures.  I bought this CrayBaby in the mid '70s.  I cropped these, but left them full size.

The wire stub attached to the output jack is a Radio Shack wire:

The top and bottom of the PCB, and wires:

The red and black wires in the wire bundle go to the battery clip.

I'm assuming that the white and black wires in the middle of the wire bundle go to the output jack.

Also that the 3 wires that're grouped near the pot are to the switch.  But I need to sit down and figure out which one of those is which.

The SPDT switch got pirated to get used in a Distortion+.  But I do have a spare Carling DPDT switch that I can use.

So this'll save me from having to perfboard my own wah electronicss.  I knew there was a reason I was dragging my feet on that!

Forgot to mention.  The pot was pretty much destroyed when I tried to get the gear off it, so I'm having a Fulltone wah pot shipped to me.  Should be here in a few days.

The CTRLplate picture should have been labeled bottomplate or something.  It's one of those Tele player mistakes.

Correct.

White goes to the hot on the output jack. Black goes to ground.

The blue ones connect to one outside lug. The green one goes to the wiper. I think that leaves a black wire? That one goes to the other outside lug. Check out the picture below:

Thanks Paul.  That makes perfect sense because that white wire is the same one that goes to the output jack's +, so that would be what goes to the wiper.

It kind of looks like I should pull the black and white wires out and use new wires.
