This guy adds 'horns' to the usual square wave fuzz

Check out the sound clips too.

How do you think it works?

Sounds like the Scrambler clone I built...... probably something very similiar.

Doesn't sound very nice to me...just nasty.

Hi.
I think that the "Electronics Australia" fuzz also had a control that created similar waveforms.  Not many people seem to have built it: they just never caught on.  The Fuzzface and RM Axis fuzz are still the royalty of fuzzes.

The circuit isn't similar at all, but thanks for the compliment.  (I hope someone gets $1k for one of these someday, like the Scrambler, although it won't be me.)  The Lucifuzz has sounds that can't be done by anything else--that "psychoacoustic nightmare" sound is the most extreme, but there's a lot of other weirdness in there.

We never do anything . . . "nice" . . . and "easy" . . .   :-*

It's a pretty aggressive fuzz.  I've added a darker sample for people who don't like as much high end as I do.  You can always cut the high end, but you can't boost what isn't there!

Only 'cause they have a 35 year head start.  ;)

We're definitely not aiming at being royalty--high priests of freak alchemy, maybe.   :icon_twisted:

It does remind me of the Scrambler a little, but guess what... I love the Scrambler!

I think those Lucifuzz clips are pretty killer sounding. I say good work!

I`d like the plateaus between the "horns" more rounded...   :icon_wink:

Play softer and it'll do that.   8)  (The pictures are a bit idealized, of course.)
