I tacked a 100k volume control on the end of the Uglyface, but turning it down is like..barely does anything...then, switches to 'off' it'd seem, except it's not really off...it is just gated harder...hitting hard notes breaks through the gate for a half second.
Must be an impedance issue? solved maybe by a buffer then VolumePot...or...
as always...it could be something else...
It is either WAYY Louder than bypass, and gating when Volume pot approaches above unity on it's way down.

Somethings wrong there Pete. Mine gets real loud real quick, but I can turn it down to a whisper. These things were born to gate though, notes just fizzle when they're done. Which schem/layout did you use?

did you use an audio taper? I used one on mine and it seems to work well... I just can't get it to recognize that I have a guitar connected... once I push it into oscillation the controls work... but I can't get the guitar to come through...
Breadboards are as invaluable as underwear - and also need changed... -R.G.
