Switch and/or LED popping redux...I'm really stumped.

My Small Clone build pops when switching. I've replaced the 3PDT thinking the switch was bad, removed the LED from the circuit thinking the sudden current draw might be the culprit, added pull down resistors, checked all my wiring, solder joints and connections and the pedal still pops when switched on. I've put the pedal down for a few days and come back with a clear head and I've searched just about every combination of keywords trying to find a solution. Is there anything I've overlooked? I'm at a dead end and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Very. To the point where the pedal is almost unusable.

Have you checked for DC on the output?  Crack open your DMM and measure.

There's a very good (I think recent) post by RG in the archives on this problem.

Every time that the pop has been really loud, it's been because of DC voltage. I take a meter and set it to DC and put the black probe on ground and red on the signal at the output or input jack (or on the switch) and measure. If you see DC on the signal, then it's causing the pop. Usually a forgotten output cap (I did this a lot in the early days) or a leaky cap - in which case you replace that cap.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll give it a try and report back.
