Marsha Valve - Tube Filament

Hello guys. I Have tried today to make Marsha Valve Tube.

I have some questions about filament. When I connect filament and +12 on the pin 1 I have hum but when I disconnect +12 from the pin 1 and connect from the other power supply everything is OK. Does that circuit need double power supply's or I have to do something else with filaments? One more thing This circuit sound really good and it would be too bad to stop with this project.

the filament is powered by AC while the rest of the circuit is DC.

I am not sure about using DC to power the filament. I know it can
be done but I am not sure if you'll get the sound you're after.

You can use DC on the filaments.  Connect +12 to pin 4 and connect pin 5 to ground to power 'em!  Leave pin 9 disonnected.
