I'm trying to get the Big Muff (triangle) up and running and using the Tonepad layout.  Here are the transistor voltages....

Q1: 4.5, 0.7, 0.1
Q2: 0.0, 0.6, 0.6
Q3: 4.5, 0.7, 0.1
Q4: 3.9, 1.7, 1.1

It definitely looks like something is up with Q2.  I've touched up some questionable solder joints, checked resistor values and tried another 2N5088 with no luck.

Are there any other points that a voltage check would give me a clue as to which component is faulty (if any)?

Thanks,

Jason

One additional question...should the components labeled (empty) not be there at all or does this imply a jumper?

The missing components should not be replaced by jumpers, just don't connect anything to their pads.

You have something wrong in the Q2 area as you note. The collector seems to be sitting at ground, you should triple check there are no accidental shorts around it
