Where did Mr. Darr go?

Until recently, I had posted scans of the Jack Darr guitar amp repair book on my site (minus the schematics).  I didn't have huge pangs of guilt about it because the book hadn't been reprinted since 1973 and had long disappeared from everywhere except e-bay.

It was recently drawn to my attention that the book has now finally been reprinted and is available for sale at a decent price ( http://www.audioxpress.com/bksprods/books/bkaa69.htm ) so the files have been taken down to respect copyright.  Just so no one starts suspecting, there was no phone call or lawyer's letter or pressure of any kind.  It was simply a case of me stumbling onto the book ad and asking T-Boy at Ampage to yank the files on my behalf.  When someone is that nice to you for so long, you worry about damaging their reputation.

A decent book at a decent price and a nice complement to the library of gear-o-philes and repair benches everywhere.  The Jack files are gone.  Long live Jack.
