Hi! will this circuit suffer from popping as the switch is thrown? both the on and off paths are biased to Vs for the output buffer, will C15 connected to Vs and the protection smooth things out enough to be useable?

I don't recall that schematic - what is it?

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

it's a re-drawn mxr distortion 2, with the logic switching removed. I just couldnt make out a lot of things on the original, so i cleaned it up using ms paint/psp! The thing is i'm worried about popping now i'm using a hardware switch instead of the analouge logic switch, and i need it to be as close as possible to the original so i can use the same pcb. The original had C15 there, but im not sure if it's there to smooth out any popping from the Vs bias, i just presumed it is.
