Is this the same thing?

The rebote delay requires a 78l05 5v positive regulator. I found a 7805 + 5vdc voltage regulator at radioshack. There was no "l" in it so I wasnt sure. I assume there the same.

Anyone?

is "L" just the package (transistor size vs the bigger ones w/ heatsink)?

the non-L versions can take something over 1A of current through them, while the L ones are only limited to 100mA or so (check the datasheets for actual numbers)
but to what I understand they both do the same thing.

Though the difference in the size of the pacakge is rather large (something like 4 times larger  :icon_razz: ). might be a bit of a squeeze depending on the layout

you're going to have a heck of a time fitting that on the board, mang.  Hit up anyone who sells NTE parts and ask for an NTE977 100Ma 5v pos regulator...incidentally, I'm building the same circuit this week, let us know how it turns out
