Whats  a good pedal project to take on after completing the simple booster pedal? I was wanting to do perhaps a plexi type distortion box....Any ideas?

If you're etching your own board, how about a nice overdrive??
Ross Compressor is nice too don't ya know? ;)

I built the Easy Drive, its actually a really nice circuit for being so simple.

it may be a bit cliche for this particular group of folks, but a Distortion Plus with a layout like the one at Tonepad is a great second step project.   It has an IC, so you can learn about that..and it has a decent little parts assortment, and fun tweakability... small board so it fits anywhere, a good first Press-n-Peel blue board...if you prefer a perfboard or veroboard layout checkout Dragonfly's layouts in the Layout Gallery
Breadboards are as invaluable as underwear - and also need changed... -R.G.

I came across this, and I am interested in doing it....  http://aronnelson.com/gallery/NaBos-Layouts/yjm308_layout_001?full=1

Would this be a good second project?

The best advice is not building a second one. Be warned if you do it you're addicted  :icon_biggrin:

My second build was the Tube Reamer from RunOffGroove.com using Torchy's vero layout. Great sounding OD.

Another option is the Jordan BossTone.  You're never in doubt when its on  :icon_mrgreen:.

If you search there is some great threads on these two circuits.

have fun

My first, second and third projects were all Bazz Fusses from www.hom-wrecker.com. I suggest you try the Bazz Fuss deluxe, as it is extremely good sounding, realy versatile and easily modable. It's also the perfect amount of parts for a second build.

The YJM you showed is also great. It's really just a Dist + as mentioned earlier, just with some different values. I like the stock one better, though.
