What is this symbol? on Kay Tremolo

I am interested in building a nice choppy trem. I have been looking at this buildhttp://aronnelson.com/gallery/album20/KAY_TREMOLO?full=1. What is the tourquise colored cap thingy? Is that two caps? can someone explain?

Yeah, I think he was just trying to visually represent the pinched look of the positive end of an axial electrolytic.

   yeah, that's it, I've built that kay trem and it sounds really cool.  make sure you pay attention to where it says "keep wires short to avoid ticking sounds" for the rate pot.  I didn't and I get some ticking sounds in the middle tempo range of the rate control.  I'm going to shorten the wires and see if that helps, haven't gotten around to it yet though...
