het guys i have a quick question here. I purchased a 1K pot and a 5K pot to put in my wah pedal so i can tweak the mids and the gain in the circuit externally. the thing is i would like to know if I leave the 1K5 resistor in the circuit and lift one of the legs of the resistor and solder it to one of the lugs of the pot will the pot not go any lower than that value(1K5) but still be able to goall the way up to 5K when i'm tweaking it? Will this work for the 1K pot as well? Thanks

If you hook up a resistor and pot in series then the value can't go any lower than the resistor and as high as the resistor plus the pot value in your wah. So , yes that will work as you said, except it would be 1K5 plus 5k for the highest value. Just as an aside, that mid resistor is very touchy, I can't imagine anyone wanting to go above 2.2K and for my taste the range would be much narrower than that. You might even want to go a tad lower, so you could just use a pot without the resistor in series, IMO.

Thanks lacto for the feedback and the advice!!!
