I wanna learn...... and build this pedal!

Hello all!

So I wanna build the fuzz only of the Acoustic 360 amp (here's a schematic I made from it. I've noticed that it runs on 25V (I guess because the amp ran on this voltage). Is it possible to bring the voltage down to 9V and run the fuzz on this? What items should be replaced and in which way?

As my title said I wanna learn why and how.......

look at a fuzzrite circuit, look at the circuit in this thread

look for the current threads that have other circuits like this in them and add a EF at the output.

Bernardduur

Wow.... it is the same pedal...... I've seen a lot of them but never noticed the resemblance; great!

btw, what is an EF?

EF = Envelope follower or envelope-controlled filter....usually.

Bernardduur

Hmmm, there is no filter in this pedal..... its just a fuzz

Gus probably means Emitter Follower which is like a buffer that you see at the end of a lot of circuits(including the one you've drawn).

I guess you already saw jc's site; he built it with 3 9Vs so it seems from the picture.

I also wondered about what voltages are 'required', but I guess I will be building a controllable voltage supple soon.

Yep; been there, done that.....

I already have a multi-PSU (9, 12, 15, 18, 24 and 25 volts, both + as -) and am doing some experiments,  but I have no "experience" with these things.

For example, when I measure the power on the collector of the transistor (on for example 25V) can I regulate the resistors on the collector side so I get the same voltage on 9V? Or is this complete weird thinking?
