Anyone try or have both???

Price is too low here in Argentina for the BDI121.

Since schems aren't available yet for the Tech 21 i'm thinking in buy one cheap option.

Saludos, Marcelo.
Fuzz boxes don't need on/off switch!!!!!!!!

I find my BDI121 just about indispensible, given what it cost and the small space it fits in. I've never tried the tech 21 though. With my Behringer I found that the innards were so small that I was able to tuck it (with some soldering and drilling) inside one of those throwaway PC speakers that has a little amp in it. With the Behringer's pre-amp and the amp in that speaker, I had a "tube amp" that would easily fit on a desk. There are those who say that you can't duplicate a tube amp with solid state, and I don't doubt that some people have ears as sensitive as oscilliscopes, but the BD121 comes pretty dang close for under 30 bucks. It's also really durable, since I did a bunch of mods to the inside of mine, and I'm a novice solderer (?) at best, yet that thing never fried on me.  :icon_cool:

I had an original version of the Tech version (with internal trimpots) and was given the Behringer BDI21 as a present - they sounded so much the same (let's face it, Behringer probably just ripped off the circuit) I sold the real-deal and kept the BDI21. I shamefully admit I've received a number of compliments on my bass tone when I've been using the Behringer pedal in my rig.  :icon_cry:
