Unwanted excessive volume drop/lowend reduction

I have a DOD 585-A analog delay that has sort of a weird problem. When inline either on or bypassed it decreases my guitar's volume and lows dramaticaly -- the equivalent of about 4 numbers on my amp's volume knob (from 3 to 7). I've tried placing pedals before and after to see if impedance plays a roll. Also tried different types of pickups. The pedal sounds great (I've owned lots of analog delays) but this type of decrease is unacceptable.

Anyone know a way to fix? Maybe a capacitor at the input or output stage is the culprit? Perhaps one of the 3 internal trimpots adjusts the input bias? Maybe one of the opamps is going bad? The fact that it's a problem persists both bypassed and on suggests to me it's probably not as easy as adjusting a trimpot, but then again maybe there is an input level that is set that is always active, sort of like a Deluxe Memory Man (another volue headache, but that's another story).

I don't really know enough about electronics theory to be able to tell from a schematic what really does what. All of my prior stompbox building has been mainly from board layout diagrams.

Here's the schematic for the 585 (same pedal with different switch):

Here's a picture of what the board looks like, even though this is the B, the layout is the same

Any help is very appreciated.
