I'm building my first pedal and I'm getting ready to drill a hole for the Pot. There is a small 'nub' that sticks up on the side of the pot. I notice on the Electro-Harmonix pedals they have drilled a small hole for the 'nub' to stick through. After looking at other pedal on here and elsewhere they do not. Should I cut it off? not worry about it? or just drill a seperate hole for it?  Thanx. ???

Usually I just take some pliers and snap that little nub right off.  That seems to be the consensus here I think.

The nub is just there for anti-spin, so you could use it if you want, or you could just get a lock washer to go on the underside of the enclosure.

In any case, either drill a hole for it or break it off.  If you leave it on, it will keep the pot from sitting flush against the enclosure.

hi and welcome to the forum!

yeah i either snap the tab off with a pliers or file it off and use a lock washer... works great for me and is real easy to do.

I just snap it off :)
If you want to you can drill a second hole though.

I snap it off too. It is surprisingly easy to break. I only drill the extra hole for those tabs on toggle switch washers.
