ive got this "mid boost" guitar thing...it replaces your tone pot, and is uses a nine volt battery to get it working.

but the guy who gave it to me didnt provide any instructions.

it has four solder points.

B+

IN+

GND

OUT

how do i wire this up? (typical 2 humbucker, 2 volume, one tone, 3 way toggle). i think i have it for the most part, but i like to have confirmation. thanks in advance!

I would suspect that:

B+ = Battery positive

IN+ = Guitar signal in

GND = Guitar ground and battery negative

Out = Circuit output

Typically the ground point in a guitar's electronics cavity is the back of a pot, to which all ground points are soldered.  All shielding wil be connected here as well.

The guitar signal "in" will depend on what type of pickup switching you're using.  What kind of guitar is it?

The "guitar signal in" can be the wire that used to connect to the guitar's output jack, after the volume control.

EDIT:  I should not say this so definitely.  I am assuming that since it is an active circuit, and is boosting mids, it will be in series with the output signal.
