Boss mt2 clipping

Hi everybody,

I was trying different diodes in the clipping section of my Mt2 and soldered one of the diodes in the other way around. I was amazed when I discovered that the pedal sounds the same or even better. How is this posible?

Not sure of the circuit, but you probably just made it "assymetrical" clipping by having one
diode bias the other direction, like the Boss SD-1
If you like the tone, then leave it
