Could this work with a guitar signal?

Has anyone used this device and if so how high up will it go, compared to the original note? one octave? two octaves?

Would there be a way to alter it so it could grab two octaves up?

I would be using it for solo note lead (no chords).

Is there anyway to grab two octaves up with a pedal?

No....I just found out about the chip today.

Thanks....I'll start reading now.

About 4 years ago, I used the chip to build a circuit that has a frequency output that is changeable by potentiometers. It had a direct output and an effect output that could be mixed together. The sound could be extended up to one octave up, but I used an octavia type pedal after and got it up to two octaves up. Before the multiplier, I added a fuzz face type circuit to give it some sustain.pl

I would be interested in that circuit with pots for a variable frequency change if you have a copy.

Also, I was wondering if two units could be used.  I guess I could daisy chain 2 of the DH from GGG together and potentially get my two octave up?

So the sustain from your fuzz face....are you using that due to some loss of sustain from the chip?

I'm trying to make a print of the PCB from GGG right now and it is not the best looking print.  I might trace over it in MS Word using the draw bar.

It would be interesting to see how two of them on parallel channels could be used for chords for both vocals and guitar.

I know that BOC did not use one of these for the high vocals of Godzilla :icon_twisted: but we are going to try it.

Thanks...I have several projects that could use this unit....I might build three or four if the first one works out.

I thought about it and it was built from schematics and a chip my friend gave me. I simply added a fuzz face before, as the signal decayed badly. I really don't have any schematics or chips anymore. One thing I can tell, the chip was a- win8072 ic related to Holtek 8950, you could probably do a search and find it. Also if you would find Dean Hazelwanter he would have some info.pl
