I should probly build that one next.  I've actually never built a Ge FF, so maybe it's time.  Thanks for the pic, also.

yeah i agree with fretwire.. i like it better than stock DA fuzzfaces..

i like biased near 4.30-4.39volts instead of 4.5votls with RM mods...

*edit*
jeez i just noticed he uses a ceramic cap...

fretwire is that cap .1uf or stock .01uf?  i think .01uf but just wondering if mayer changed it from stock  :icon_wink:

Cool,
I think ceramics are great in FF and OD250 type circuits. I used to use mylar,  but I just bought a ton of .1uf, and .01uf ceramics caps for my future builds.

It's .01uf. That pic and schematic are both of my own early production Classic. It lists exactly what the components are.

Phillip Bryant also has mine listed as an early RM version. On GEO's Fuzz article, RG lists the "Mayer Mods" which also match my unit. There are also later versions of the RM Classic that have different values. Like I said before, it's only a 2k pot and 1k output resistor away from a Dallas, but I like it much better. You have to remember that it will bias up with higher collector resistor values than a stock Dallas would.
