I made another OD 250 clone, gave the first away. I put a picture of Nicolo Paganini on the face as Y. Malmsteem is one of the more popular players to use this and he claims Paganini as a major influence. I also added a Sym/Assym switch to the diodes. For a simple OD it sure sounds good.

Thanks Pete! Trophy shop plate again and did you notice the metal washer? I found one only from a guy who builds amps. Wish I had about 100 although I am one of the few that like the white nylon look.

NIce work! The 250 & the Dist.+ are classics, but they both still sound good. Adding a toggle for the YJM 308 input cap value is a nice mod too. Makes it a little more versatile with different rigs. Looks like you have the battery between the jacks and the board. That's different...nice touch.

I'm happy too today. RG helped me out de-figureing what the DMM was repeatedly telling me, that it is inaccurate sometimes, with this DMM I can read 2.02v of 8.4 v [on pin 3] and it sounds perfectly biased...Thanks for telling me, RG !!
I had built this one to replace the 'falsely accused' faulty DIST+/OD 250 Cct, the first one to have the 'anomolous' pin 3 reading.
Great circuit [again] responds to input cap and 4u7 value changes, .22uf for the output cap lets enough bass out for me, these caps I socketted [I used a 14pin socket for the OA and two caps, an 8pin IC socket for the diodes and cap to ground]
{I used two 47k's as divider R's, it is really more of an OD250.
I'm hoping this one tweeks up real nice as the 'other side' of a 2 SSw box with a Mini-Boost already in it. [this box was  FF/Minibooster, but my new 3 Ge Fuzz is taking over].
