Quick check of my power supply schematic?

And when I think about it more, you might only want 100uF on the input and more on the output.  You can deal with more ripple on the input because the regulator should clean all that up (it is only 60Hz or so, and that is easy for a regulator to clean).

When you were measuring the low voltages at the outputs, what were the unregulated inputs to the regulators showing?
Because, either they were reasonably high (indicating that there is no drastic load on the transformer) or, if they were low (below 10v say) then it would be time to see where the current was drainig to... and look for excess heat (careful not to burn a finger).

I decided that there was no way that this made sense if the wiring were as I intended, and that everything looked fine, and finally tried rewiring it on a different board.

IT FREEKIN WORKS!!!

Well, that means my new breadboard is either damaged or not wired as they said it was... from what I understood from, you know, every other board I've tried, and their small write-up on its wiring, it's supposed to be vertical lines of 5 are together, and long vertical lines (4 of them, 2 on top and 2 on bottom) are wired together... it's a 3M one, just one regular board size.

Anyway, thanks for all the help, it was definitely very helpful.
Expect more soon, as I'll be attempting to build other stuff that's completely uncharted to me.
At least the power supply was pretty basic and common... I'm trying to do new designs, so I'll need a lot of help :P
Thanks again

You know you can find out how your breadboard is arranged on your own with a ohm meter (VOM or DMM) and a couple wires to stick into the holes.  You will quickly find what's connected and what's not.
