Thanks to all at the forum, I have address an issue that has been bugging me for 20 years.  The early Bandit/Special amps had tone controls on both the clean and dirty channels with a PULL THICK knob, that I didn't use.  When the next generation came out in the mid '80's, there were no tone controls on the SuperSat/dirty channel except PRESENCE and the PULL THICK was gone with the "THICK" hardwired ON.  The PRESENCE control seemed to boost highs in the 5kHz region that we usually try to attenuate.  Without an external EQ, I was stuck.  This is the origin of WG Thick Presence.

"Thick" was cool at that time, but I then and now prefer more of a heavy vintage sound.  Notched mids had not yet arrived.

So, I modded it to reduce the thickness and produce a more vintage EQ and distortion.  There seems to be additional tone shaping on down stream, but these mods help a lot.

Thanks to all the usual suspects.   :icon_cool:
