Bass amp eh? Good question
I can't recall seeing anything other than guitar amps on the kits sites.
Does anyone actually use a Fender Bassman for bass?

Bass amps are tough because you'll want
lots of power for bass, 50 to 100 watts at least to use it live.
Is this your first amp build? Could get expensive.

For small amp - London Power offers a 10 watt bass amp kit.

I have no idea how it is but London Power has a good rep.

I don't want to rain on your project but...
Personally, I would focus on building a tricked out tube preamp for bass
in a 19" rack chassis and use a power amp like a Crown or QSC for brute power.
Best chance for getting good tone for your investment.
Just think of of all the options you could load in if you didn't have
to worry about the power amp section. (Tube buffered Effects loops, footswitch channel switching, ).
It's time to buy a gun. That's what I've been thinking.
Maybe I can afford one, if I do a little less drinking. - Fred Eaglesmith

At http://www.ax84.com/bbs they have a special section for tube bass amp projects.
There's not as much action there as in the guitar part of the forum, but one of the members built a copy of a Sunn 200 which looked very interesting.
