Grounding question

I'm desiging a wiring diagram for my modded Ruby amp.

When designing the ground wires, I can:

A) Have multiple solder pads on the PCB to run indivudual ground wires from one point (i.e. star grounding)
- or -
B) Have a single ground pad on the PCB  and daisy chain the ground around to various off-board components

So, A or B? Or does the type of circuit dictate the choice? I.e. different grounding schemes for a high-gain pedal vs. a modulation circuit, vs a tube amp, vs a small op-amp based amp...

A is always preferable.  Realize that your ground is not a perfect ground, it has inductance and resistance.  Those can cause the big current signals to appear on the ground for the preamp stages if not well thought out.  This causes noise and signal to be coupled back in and can cause squeals, motorboating and a host of other ugly noises.
