Which Switch

As I progress into more complicated projects, I have more and more questions.  This time my question involves switches.  I've done a little searching, but figured someone else probably has the same question as me, so why not ask.
What kind of switch do I need for Dragonfly's Parallel Universe, the Your First Synth: http://www.musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth/YOUR_FIRST_SYNTH/YOUR_FIRST_SYNTH.html
,Torchy's Phase 45 and the Sample & Hold Filter from GGG.
I can see the instructions/parts list if they're SPST etc. but how do I know if I want on-on, on-off, on-off-on etc?
THANKS SO MUCH

Theres only one type of SPST as theres only one thing you can switch. Get whatever type is available prettymuch (just make sure they're not momentary...)

for the paralell universe, 3 switches are used

to bypass the effect, you can use either a dpdt switch or a 3pdt switch.  The standard stompswitch available from places like small bear is the one you need. I believe the switch would be classified as:
on-on.

the other switches used in the parallel universe are a spst and a spdt , again, on-on.  Having a center off or center on switch isnt going to benefit with this circuit.

as for the other pedal projects, you can use the same bypass arrangement as you would for the parallel universe.  either a dpdt or a 3pdt switch on-on.  Small bear has the right switches for the job.

your first synth requires 2 spst switches, but if you are using the layout, you have to get the funny bendy switches with angled legs, not sure what the technical term for those is.  You could always run wire from the lugs to the holes.
Try a little tenderness.

Thanks very much.
I understand the stomp switch for bypassing-
I just wasn't sure if I was switching components into a circuit or between components.
I'm starting to understand it better, but I'm sure I'll be back with more questions before long.
