I made this Ts-808  for a friend of mine.  The circuit board is from buildyourownclone.com.
The case is from a pvc 4" drain cap. I really like the round case. Thanks to Jack at muzique.com for that idea.

I thank RG Keen for helping with the paint job as I used his technique for wrinkled finish(around the edges) and then clearcoated over that.  DYMO labels for that boo-teak look, Thanks RDV!

Thanks to all of you at diystompboxes.com for the help and inspiration to build guitar effects.

I gotta try that PVC drain cap idea.  I have never seen that done before.  I have been wanting a round enclosure for a while, too.  Thanks for posting!  How's she sound?

My favorite TS mod was making that 4.7k resistor on the opamp input switchable to a smaller value like 1k or 2.2k while keeping the same capacitor.  It really gave a lot of nasty top end bite like Joe Walsh playing James Gang stuff.

That looks really nice, Len...what did you use for a bottom on the PVC cap? I've been meaning to experiment with that for an enclosure, looks like it has a lot of potential

what did you use for that clearcoat? pedal looks great!

It sounds really good so much that my friend wanted me to build him one. I did lower that resistor also to 2k.
He says it made his Vintone Simplex sound like a Marshall. I used metal resistors so its quiet.

The bottom is going to be a piece of clear lexan plastic I got from Home Depot.

The clearcoat is clear enamel from $1.00 a bottle from Walmart.  Just use light coats and let them dry in between coats. about 7-8 very light coats and then I let it all dry for about 5 days before using it.
