Im building a trem from Topopiccione and dont have any BC170s- but Ive got plenty of BS170s. Can I use the BS's or should I find another sub for the BC's?

Thanks!

the BS is a FET. The BC is not.

www.datasheetarchive could have answered this for you  ;)
More stuff, less fear, less  hassle and less censoring? How 'bout it??. To discuss what YOU want to discuss instead of what others decide for you. It's possible...

But not at diystompboxes.com...... regrettably

I googled them both but couldnt find much on the BC... guess I gave up too quickly.

Thanks for the help... Im off to find another replacement for the BC170s.

BC170 NPN, T0-106 case, hFE 35-600 at 1 mA, suggested replacement is BC548 (from my old replacement guide from 1980)

http://www.datasheetcatalog.com is another good one for info.

With such a wide Hfe, it looks like a wide variety of small signal NPNs should do the job. From the 2N family of part numbers, you could try the 2N2222, 2N3904, or 2N4401 for starts.
