Another Stero A/B (and now Y) question for Choklitlove...

Actually, I'd welcome input from anyone on this subject.

I planned to build a stereo A/B box for a friend so he can switch between two sets of speakers (Indoor and Outdoor) but he's added a new twist....He'd also like a Y added to the A/B.

I'm still a noob but I got to thinking that the load of all four speakers would be different and might present a problem (especially to his output transformer).  Is there a way to do a stereo  A/B/Y pedal without wrecking his equipment?

Thanks in advance.

Hopefully this will give you some info on understanding speakers and wattages.  You can wire speakers together differently (series vx. parallel and combinations thereof) to get different loads.  check out http://www.termpro.com/articles/spkrz.html as a good starting point.  Or just search google for speakers watts series parallel

yeah, i don't know much speaker stuff.  i just know (also in the link), that you'd have to find a way to switch between the original dpdt switch that switched between two sets of speakers, and another that put the 2 left speakers in series (connecting the - from one speaker to the + of the other) and the two rights in series.  if i think of a simple way to do that, i'll post it.  but, that should be the way that it would work.
