Posted as soon as it was published, several years ago.  But it warrants reposting for folks now and then.  I had the pleasure of playing Harry's guitar synth a couple years back, and it was a remarkably responsive instrument, in no small part due to the envelope followers.

Please excuse my ignorance but how do ap eak detector, an envelopte follower, a CVF  or a CV relate to each other? Any recommendation where to read for it?
