OT : Australian voltage ?

Hi !

I'm planning to have a gig on melbourne by this end of the month, can somebody help me what type of voltage does australian have ? 120V or 220V ?

It is 240V, 50Hz.

My advice is, get a stepdown transformer from www.jameco.com to convert the OZ 230 to the US 115. Don't forget to bring your 115v stripboard & adaptors, they are unobtainable here.
Hire or borrow a local amp.
You'll also need a mains socket adaptor to plug your Jameco stepdown transformer into the OZ mans socket (travel supply shops have these).
Note: a step down transformer is often called a step up transformer :icon_wink:
