BSIAB2 DC Power Problem

It's been a while since I posted on here but I have a problem that I am having trouble overcoming. I built a BSIAB2 (http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=31785.msg218859#msg218859) back in March 2005 and have been really pleased with it, some great sounds!

However, up until recently, I have only been using batteries and on attempting to connect a DC power supply to the DC adaptor socket found that it did not work! What happens is this: I can have it on and working fine via a battery but the minute I attach the DC supply, it cuts out the LED and nothing seems to work. I have triple checked my wiring against the GGG plan I worked from originally and am 99% sure I have it as it should be (well almost apparantly!). If I detach the DC supply it works fine again.

Has anyone experienced the same or perhaps suggest why this may be happening? I have done as much searching on this forum as I can without finding any relevant topics so I hope you guys don't mind me posting this.

Thanks in advance.

Grab the wiring image at www.tonepad.com
9v sockets have 2 x "+" connections, battery uses one and when the DC plug is inserted
it "cuts" that connection and "makes" the DC "+" connection , so saves the battery.
sounds like you have this mixed up :D

Cheers,
Marty.

Maybe your power supply has a postive center jack ? I believe the wiring at GGG is meant for a negative center jack.

whoops, nvm.  I was gonna say if you're jack is metal you migth be shorting it on the chassis but i see in the pic you're using the plastic variety.
