Just happened to get some oxygen-free-copper cable the other day, coz it was the only one that fit the plugs I bought. Don't know if its my imagination, but it seemed to be a bit less noisey. OFC cable any good for guitar or no real difference?

If you mean handling-noise --the type of copper doesn't matter, it's actually the type and quality of the jacketing and filler materials that surround the conductors that make it quiet (or noisy).
OFC copper is high-quality stuff and comes standard in many of the better cables (Mogami, Canare, etc.)

Yeah, I just checked it again. Turns out that my purchased cable is bust/loose, but my new OFC cable is OK.
