IRF510 vs. IRF520

Alright, so I'm REALLY broke after some unexpected bills, and I was going to hit up the RatShack for some parts tonight instead of ordering from Small Bear.

They have most all the little things I need, but I was going to put IRF520's in a RAT circuit vis-a-vis the Shaka 5.  They only have IRF510's, but I don't know how interchangeable they are.

Here's the links to Mouser parts with data sheets linked up:

So can I use these interchangeably?  Do I have to worry about any voltages?  They'll be used in series with Germanium diodes, so I don't think biasing is critical and if they're close enough for government work...

Thanks!

I'm guessing you're using 'em as diodes in a clipperRat.
Someone else could read those data sheets and come up with an answer as to the actual differences, but I also venture to guess the difference between an Si clipping diode and a Mosfet substitue will have a pretty noticable difference...mosfet of similar kinds will probably only have very slight if even noticable differences...
Not too much has been written about this n that mosfet as clipping devices, I just socket when in doubt, use what I have I think'll work, then test the differences when the scenario allows it.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

I used both and they worked fine. I couldn't hear a difference using them in a Shaka 3 (but they were pretty big).
