I just finished this English Channel kit from Officially Licensed Circuits.
First off, Mark is the best to deal with. He answered all my questions
and put up with my string of emails. He's a great guy.

The build, Very straight forward with tons of detailed instructions.
My only real problem is my aging eyes had trouble with soldering the small parts.
Once I got my hands on a Radio shack "helping hands"
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2104639&cp=&origkw=magnifying&kw=magnifying&parentPage=search

My problem was solved. I'm tellin ya...If you build kits, get one of these. It will really improve your build
skills.

Thanks to Danny (dano12) for sharing his very cool graphic. Now mine looks just like the example on the OLC
website.

The sound....
I have only played with it on my VOX SS practice amp but it sounds great...I cant wait till I play it
through my MusicMan 130. It has a much different sound and feel than my modded RAT or my bad monkey
which is what I was hoping for. To me...all the opamp / clipping diode OD/dist sound about the same
so I'm really glad to have a fet style.

Thanks for the report, I'm loving my EC also. Lots of flexibility in that circuit...

I think the EC is probably one of the finest ROG circuits ever done!
Sounds like an AC30 to me  ;D
I'm tinkering with the Superaux build next I think.

Its even better played through my MusicMan... I really like it a lot.
Our amps are miked and we are hooked up to "in ears" so you really
hear every little nuance. When I got home I started playing with the
Fets, swapping them around and readjusting the trim pots all
while listening through headphones till I had the best combination.
It is so cool. It really takes well to being pushed further with the BadMonkey.
I'm leaning towards building the Umble or the Superaux next.
