Boss DS-2 Mod

Hi All,
I am new here and was wondering if anyone has done this or if it is possible to do.
I have a Boss DS-2 Distortion pedal, the one with the 2 modes for smooth distortion and the other for a more Mid-Boost Distortion, and was wondering, is it possible to put in one of those dual concentric knobs like the ones on the MT-2 Metal Zone and use it for the tone control so you can adjust the tone for each of the 2 specific Modes on the Pedal?
