Hello.
I just bought adapter for my stopmbox collection. But i think i got it wrong.

Compact, primary switching battery eliminator with stabilised output voltage, wide input voltage range, small and low weight. The compact design prevents the eliminator from blocking the next outlet on an outlet strip. Replaceable secondary connector that can be polarity reversed. Supplied with 2 meter secondary cable and secondary connector for 2.1 mm pin.
Input voltage:    100–250 Vac, 50/60 Hz
Output power:    4.0–17 W (depending on voltage)
     Output voltage:    Fixed, stabilised
     Output current:    1A
Connector:    2 m cable, replaceable connector, free choice of polarity
     Dimensions/weight
     AM0052/5W:    45×29×74 mm/56 g
     AM9820/9W:    67×29×74 mm/86 g
     AM0299/17W:    67×29×74 mm/120 g

Its a switching powersupply. And it makes wierd noises. Can i filter it, or should i go and buy now one?
I use it with Dr Boogey and Krank distortion, the last one is really noisy. Boogey-s filter can manage it, but not completely.

Switching power supplies are very hard to get to work with guitar effects without squeal.
One successful example however is the OneSpot.

I can recommend building an Ultra Clean Power supply. You can power it with a 12-18V AC/DC supply.

Also nice is a supply with multiple isolated outputs.

Lots of topics to be found on power supplies when doing a search too BTW...
