Cool chart, but those values are a little higher than I have measured and seen posted here.  The ones in the Radio Shack variety pack are usually 1.6-1.9v.  But then I suppose those guys know what they are talking about.   :icon_cool:

It is probably because they have tested them at 20mA which is quite a bit more than would be used in effects applications.

I checked another table, and there were also different values, some even higher  ???

It could depend on some specs beeing different. So I suppose finally that the best would be to measure, and go with what we bought...

The voltage drop will vary depending on how much current is being drawn through the LED.   The chart is using 20ma which is much more than we use for clipping  or even as indicators.

I have measured many LEDs of all colors and got much lower voltages than shown on the chart.

I normally use my multimeter on the diode test. And it uses 1 ma for the test...
