Yup, not only that there are some BBDs which really suck... I had a batch of MN3007 chips that look OK but are not the real thing and fail all the time. Not sure what they really are...

No, it just doesn't tell the true story of a seller's trustworthiness.  That, and making your feedback private throws up all kinds of red flags.

Can you say if you got them from hongkongsuperseller?  I noticed that he goes to extra lengths now to demonstrate his parts are authentic, showing the "bulk" box he bought them in.

Just happened to me, got some "MN3205" chips but they are actually 3208  chips and lousy ones at that

If you want good parts, order from known businesses like SmallBear, Mouser, and DigiKey

What puuzled me far more today is that over time there were more or less 2 sources for this stuff in larger quantities: Honkongsuperseller and chipforbrains. Today I saw the auctions of the latter presented in such a way that I thought it was hongkongsuperseller. Also, I thought that chipforbrains was US based but, though registered in the US, he seems to be located in Hongkong now.

I don't know about now but, a little while back, chipforbrains had his feedback hidden.
