Hello All,

Im fairly new to building/repairing pedals and brand new to this forum!

I require a little help with my 'EH Crying Tone Fuzz Wah'.  I've recently aquired it quite cheaply and the only problem with it is that it doesnt Wah.  When the Wah is on, it cuts out as soon as the pedal is moved.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Can you describe the problem a little more?  I think you mean that the pedal turns on and sounds like a wah, but when you move the pedal it becomes silent.  Does it come back?  Am I right?

It comes on fine.  The Fuzz works fine.  But as soon as you hit the Wah switch AND begin to move the pedal, it goes silent.  It does come back.

Thanks.

So, you turn the wah on, the toe is still down, and it sounds trebly.  Then you rock the pedal back, the signal fades (or cuts out?), then comes back in 5 seconds and sounds bassy?

Either way I think I'd try subbing a pot in to see if it's just a bad pot.  I'd just solder the leads to another pot and turn it by hand to see what happens.  I'd try to use the same value, but I wouldn't splurge for a real wah pot yet.  It's an ancient wah (right?) and the pots are the first thing to fail.
