OK this may be a stupid :icon_redface: question but i have already tried to find an answer by searching here and google

is it posible to use latching switches with only two solder points for pedals and how would they be wired ? (i have an mxr nose gate with this kind of :P :P foot switch whats up with that)

the reasons i ask are

1- i have avout 5 or 6 from some where

2- im ipatient for my order from banzai containing more 3pdt

3- i have some small tins and i want to make a little pedal in one and the switches are smaller (cos i saw the cool ones othe r people have done)

is there a diagam sowing how to do it or a reason why this cant be done?

if any one has the answere i will be forever indeted to you

thanks

chris

I assume you're talking about a single-pole-single-throw switch (SPST). Yes, they can be used if you use electronic switching. With some kind of electronic switch (FET, relay, etc) you only need a control voltage that is either on or off. Checkout a schematic of any BOSS effect, they use FETs for switching.

(BOSS effects use momentary switches and a flip-flop circuit to toggle on/off. With a latching switch you can skip the flip-flop part.
