I finally got those parts in from jameco.com.  They sent the right ones this time too.

Now this may be done but I still cant use the supply because i have no idea what i did with the 2.1mm male power jack ends.  So i ordered some more which means as soon as I get them ill find the ones I lost.  :icon_mrgreen:

moody-

I noticed your wiring on those jacks- is that an acceptable way of doing it, or does each jack need it's own wiring going to the regulated output?

thanks

They are all wired in parallel. Take a look at what I did:

I've made a few small changes such as using a Altec Lansing 4A 12v transformer (still in little black casing) and mounting the lm317 to the side-wall of the Hammond box with a separator and a plastic screw. The joke of a heatsink I had on there wasn't trustworthy and eventually the weight would have caved in the lm317's legs (it was already a bit wobbly). The power supply has been mounted to my pedalboard and working for a good 2 months now and for the most part, I just leave it plugged in for impromptu mini jams and whatnot.
