Hello to all,
I'd like to share a few photos of my last build: modified Matchless Hotbox preamp.
Tone stack is changed from Vox-style to Marshall Bass-Middle-Trebble tone stack, I reduced treble with snubber caps a little and I put switchable cap on first triode to make 0.68uF cathode bypass cap like on Marshall.
Pics here:

There's more information on my site here:

I hope I'll have some clips soon.
Cheers

thanks guys!!
there isn't project file. you can find original schematic on GGG, there's modified schematic on my site.
As for layout, I made it. Power supply is in separate enclosure (old PC power supply box).

Great looking build ... nice :D

I'm just about to build my first "tube amp" also from ampmaker.com , the 5w head

Nice man, I 've been designing and building tube amps for years and years and mine never look that good.  Thats cleaner than a vintage fender for sure.

mjones99: gee, thanks man :)
MartyMart, ampmaker.com runs really nice guy, I ordered some stuff for my Firefly tube amp from him.
Seljer, logo is done with self adhesive vinyl. There's local company that does custom cutting. Take a look at my other pedals, it can be pretty precise. I do design in Corel and just give them file...and it's very cheap (labels for more than 5 pedals for about 1$)

Yea cant wait for sound clips.  Can you also post the layout you said you made?  Would this be an easy "first tube" build?

bancika

well, I could draw board layout with my software but it's better to wait till I design pots, jacks and switchies (and maybe tubes) so I can draw whole pedal.
board is very simple, I was just following order of each gain stage: gate, cathode, plate. First two stages don't have gate resistors on board but directly to tube socket.
I don't think it's easy enough for first tube build. It took lots of time to prepare and do. Best first project would be either AX84.com P1 amp or for pedal real mcTube, or some low voltage like shaka tube or tube driver.
By the way, voltages on mine are 290V and 270V with old transformers. One of them died (couldn't take load) so I ordered custom toroid with two secondaries
