What do I want to build into my EQ effector box?

I have done some studying on filters etc. tons of info. available [not that I understand it all] but  the schems and info. available ranges from insane Elliot sound products [mfb filters] you could get way carryed away with it, being expandable and all. To simple as low pass or hi pass res., cap filters. In between Is R.G. simple easy parametric graphic eqs.  One op-amp, 6 or 7 pots, 5088, caps and you have an eq. I was wondering which technology to use. The multiple feedback bandpass at elliot sound products would do the trick, but there is that 15 volt supply needed when everything else is 9 volts. not to mention to do this justice you would have to build the same circuit at least 10 times. .....On the other hand I would like to have some parametric eq to cover some of those bands. Iwas seriously considering putting together an eclectic smattering of each. I have the box made, have my parts but I get bogged down in some details and end up thinking something to death. I was wanting full control over the sound going in and out. Somewhere in this box I wanted an lfo for a trem. circuit/ and maybe an a tube sym. I would like to get some feedback on what you guys would consider the perfect EQ. effector box given the opportunity to build it yourself. Hey I even ordered one of those EQ chips from smallbear just in case.

O K here"s what I plan on doing. After much thought and consideration I am going to builda six band eq per RG s  http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/EQs/paramet.htm  Lower parts count/ plus I understand  it  well enough. This will handle the basic 6 octaves.  Any additional tone modifications will be handled by Elliot sound products http://sound.westhost.com/project28.htm this looks interesting. I want to zero in on modifying mids to upper mids 1k to 2k or there roundabouts. My guitar is very mid heavy and I want more control over those bands. I plan on using 5532 throughout, nine volts dual supply, panel mounted pots 100k and 10k. I am planning on splitting the incoming signal, routing one to the 6 band eq and one to quasi parametric eq .........post eq there will be one tube sym that I will be able to mix in with the post EQ signal for an optional tone to be blended back in with the original signal pre-eq or post, then  summed. Somewhere in that mix I might throw in an trem. For my pre-eq signal that will be my lxh marsh[red box].....mixed in with my post eq clssic 30 sym [marty mart] because I have one and am can identify with the sound. This mix will be my green tone [optional of course]. I have another box identical to this one  http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v172/troublerat/ ready to populate and just enough mirror stainless for one more box. All the internal switching will be done with cd3053 as I am familiar with them and plan on putting that chip to work. The next step is to build a block diagram of it so I can put together a schem for this monster.
