Increase volume of Maestro PS1-A?

I've made my PS1-A true bypass but now there is a noticible drop in volume when the effect is engaged. In the input/output snippets of schematic below, I removed the .33 capacitor off the input. The volume was there now, but so was some distortion. Can anyone point me to what I can change to get the volume boost without the distortion? Click the image to see full schematic.
