Now I wonder if this could be married up with the front end of an EH Guitar Synth?

Cool that chip is the sound of a lot of old video games such as Space Invaders.

Stephen, I think it would make a great guitar synthesizer component.  I should have the web page done in a couple of days or so.  Schematics will be freely available.

Cheers,

I have a couple of these chips - I bought them from a video arcade repair guy, who pulled them off a couple of old Space Invaders boards. That seems the cheapest way to get them. Foolishly, I got one the SDIP smaller chips andd one of the bigger chips - the small ones are a hassle.

Looks like I've found a use for them! Great stuff...

Thanks, Ton!  :)

Stobiepole - fortunately there's a PCB design in the works that'll accomodate both the wide body and those nasty little skinny jobs.

Take care,
Scott
