I want to start making my own PCBs, where do I purchase Ferric Chloride? I know Radio Shack has a pre-made solution, but I figured it would be cheaper to make my own. Any other tips would be appreciated.

I use the RS stuff and it's really not alot of $$$
Less than $5 per bottle.

Unless you are looking to make dosens of boards I would also recommend the RS solution.  I just finished using my first bottle and managed to get 5-6 smaller boards out of it.  Otherwise, I've seen the Ferric Chloride locally in Phoenix at a place called Fry's Electronics (Ikea sized radio shack/best buy/one stop shop type place).  Just check at other places that sell PCB's and other components.  I've done all my projects on boards i've etched myself. Its pretty fun making your board from scratch.  Good luck!

I can talk about prices, im foreigner, but when it comes to ferric chloride, if it wasn't used to eat that much copper, i put it again on a separate bottle, labeled used chloride... it works pretty well anyway, just a bit more time.. not that bad..
