hello people! i was just listening to the Pink Floyd's Division Bell and am really wondering if at the "What do you want from me" song its only a guitar producing this wah sound or if its a hammond organ as well.

anyways though, what kind of mod do u think i need to do to a Dunlop GCB-95 to sound like that? i have seen many on the web but dont know which will give me a more close sound to this. can anyone help please? of course this wah was modded by Pete Cornish so if anyone knows anything about it i'd be grateful!

thanx in advance!  :)

Hi.

I think that the sound you are looking for is created by a talkbox (an amp with it's output sent to a horn driver with a tube condensing the sould into your mouth).  Thats how your able to make out words he says ("why won't you talk to me?").

But I suppose if you wanted to get that kind of vocal quality out of a wah wah, you could try to use two filter sections with staggered capacitor values and a double pot to control both at the same time (I thing thats waht the EH Talking pedal does). But that would be one crowded mod, plus i don't know how you would get the double pot to be controlled by that little spikey turning mechanism.

Anyway, hope this helps  :D

interesting, but i think its not that. i made a research and tend to believe that he's using a univibe and in combination with the hammond organ it sounds like that. anyway, thanx a lot for the reply!

Listen to the live version off of PULSE, it's a talkbox he uses, and its much more pronounced live.
